Good News.

The hardened tissue that was building up around my sciatic nerve is no longer. This means no more sharp pain in my right leg, no more constant aching in my right hip and no more waking up in the middle of the night because I've tried to roll over and the pressure on my right hip is killing me. Yay!

It's amazing how the worst pain you've ever felt/felt for longer than any other pain kind of grows on you. I'd forgotten what it felt like to not have it. It feels good! Lifting the toilet seat doesn't hurt me anymore!

I do still need to be careful but luckily through being hurt for so long I'm very aware of my limits. I'm very excited.

Here's some more jelly... fish.

I could have taken a BILLION pictures of the Jelly fish.

We stayed in the aquarium section the longest. Everytime I turned around Stuart would be gone to see another thing in it. The seahorses were some of our favorite things there. Look at these ones below, crazy, huh?
When we were driving in to the zoo we drove past these. I had no idea what the heck they were. Muskoxen. Yeah. I hope I'm not the only person never to have heard or seen them before. They're huge beasts. To me they look a bit like the scary wolf pig things in Willow. This picture is of one being chased. When it started a guy there shouted, "Stampeeeede!" I almost wet myself...with fear.
These little guys were so funny. There was a little girl standing infront of us laughing her head of. She thought they were hilarious. It was really cute. They are playful little chaps. Seattle is really colourful. I love colour which means I love Seattle.

Who doesn't love elephants?

We saw some of these little cave fish things that had teeny-wee eyes. They looked blind and really kind of frightened me. I couldn't get a picture of them but Stuart's reflection on the tank looks just like one. Stuart can be hilarious. This past weekend reminded me that he's not as predictable as I sometimes think. I love him.

I don't think you're ready for this jelly...

On Friday we went on a little trek. It was super sunny outside (85'f) and we wanted to start the weekend off good. We decided just to go out on a walk and see where we ended up...It was fun.
Then we got up nice and early on Saturday for a day of fun. Stuart FINALLY took me into Seattle. It's only taken 5 years for it to happen but it happened and it was probably the greatest day ever.
We started off by going into Seattle to see the Troll under the bridge. It was really busy so we didn't get to park. It was a drive by photoshooting. Then we headed to Point Defiance for the zooooo BUT on the way we stopped at the seafront in Tacoma. I love the sea.
Then we headed to the zoo for real.
We spent a few hours at the zoo and then it was time for...

We parked at Pike Place and decided to trot about Seattle instead of drive. I was really surprised about this because part of why it's taken so long for Stuart to take me into Seattle is because he's scared of being mugged/raped or that the car would be broken into/stolen. It seems my reasurrances have worked. He is not keen of homeless people and thinks they all want to steal from him, bless his heart. He seemed to be all chillaxed the whole time but tells me there were a couple times he was sweating with fear. What a man.

Good thing he wasn't attacked or anything because I'm officially in LOVE with Seattle. I love the atmosphere of the city. If I was single (and American) I'd totally live in an apartment in the middle of Seattle. Stuart could see me living there like that too. Stuart is the complete opposite though. I couldn't even imagine him walking around Seattle. That's part of what made it the best weekend. Miracles happen. Stuart bought me a big bunch of peonies (my favorite flowers) from Pike Place. How romantic.
And the perfect way to end any trip that takes us anywhere near Seattle...

You know it's time to update when people start leaving comments on your blog asking how you're doing :S Ok, ok! Here I go...

This week I've had a cold. Everyone else has had it too and it only lasted a day on them. I'm on day 3 now. I wonder if I'm not used to American germs? Hm. It seems to be going away, or travelling around my head atleast. The pressure started in my eyes, I had tears running down my face all day. Then yesterday it was in my ears, they seem to feel better now that it's wandered off to my throat. My nose isn't as runny and I was able to sleep better last night.

Monday evening Stuart's grandparents came into town to visit. I've been quarantined whilst they get to go have fun. Today they're at the zoo :( Hopefully they have something fun to do tomorrow when I'll feel 100% better! I really wanted to go to the zoo. Oh well. They'll be here til Friday morning.

On Sunday Stuart was looking for something online and ended up with a huge virus on our laptop. Curses. It was so bad that he couldn't open the 'start' menu or delete the bloody thing. He had to reinstall everything on the computer. We've not been able to connect to wireless since then. Today I can't make it connect to anything so I'm on my MIL's computer whilst they're at the zoo. Did I mention they've all gone to the zoo? Sob.

Last Friday we went to see the new Indiana Jones film - Stu didn't have to work on Saturday. The film was alright. Harrison Ford still has it but I'm not sure if Steven Spielberg does.

Other than that nothing's really been going on. The weather's been good - super sunny or rainy. I like both. Stuart's not working over time this week so he gets home an hour earlier which is nice.

I'm aiming for 20 preggo friends now. The 10 I know of are all due around the same time, there are other who are due sooner. Pregnant? You're my friend? Tell me! I need to write down the names so I remember...

Translation for Sarah...

Wakey Wakey!
Smart Alec, are ye, eh?
Well, get this down your pie hole, clever clogs.
Irn bru 32, pure mental stimulation in a can.
And it doesn’t taste like the bottom of my cage.
I’ll shush you, you tweedy old crow.

THURSDAY: Caramel Apple Adventures.

Today was a good day. I spent most the day talking to my old friend, Liam. During the chat I realised just how bitter I've been about the three years I lived in his town. They were the worst three years of my life and a really bad time for my family - we had to leave because my dad's business failed and we were about to become homeless because nobody would buy the house we lived in. There's a lot of other personal things too that I don't want to put on here but I'm realising now that it's important to hold onto the good, little things tighter than the horrible, bad things - I always knew that but I need to actually apply it. So with that being said I can say that I really do like myself and part of who I am now has to do with those three years I'd been wishing never happened. I came away from it alive and with one friend from that town.

It started as a dull day but right about 3 o'clock it nice and sunny!

I met Stuart and Megan from work today which naturally meant getting a Rocky Mountain Factory Apple...
I don't really remember anything else that happened on Thursday but I didn't post this then...

Decluttering my brain...

Decluttering achieved. Post deleted :)
