Review and Giveaway: Wanchai Beef & Broccoli

Today I got a delivery from MyBlogSpark of Wanchai Beef and Broccoli meal for two. It comes in one bag which contains the beef and broccoli mixture with a pouch of frozen jasmine rice and a packet of sauce. The whole thing really comes together in 14 minutes which is perfect for busy nights or if you just can't be bothered cooking. You just fling the meat and veg in a skillet with 1/3 up of water. Cover it and let it simmer, chuck the rice in the microwave for 3 minutes, then put in the sauce with the meeeeat and stir fry it. Done. AND it's also really quite tasty, tastier than other frozen chinese meals I've had. The veg are crispy and the meat is soft. Nom!
As for it being a complete meal for two, not so much. Stuart picked up a tub of chow mein on his way home because I prefer that to rice, it turns out we needed the chow mein to bulk out the meal. I could easily have eaten the whole thing myself... I dunno, do you eat more than that?

If I wasn't so hungry I'd have taken a better picture.
You can pick up your own from the frozen food section and use this coupon for $1.60 off OR/AND you could win one from me. Right now! If you fancy it leave me a comment (tell me which Asian meal you would to see as part of the Wanchai Ferry lineup) and make sure your email address is available. I'll pick a winner on Saturday and contact the lucky so-and-so for their address then your grub will be on it's way.

*information, prize pack, and giveaway have all been provided by Wanchai Ferry through MyBlogSpark*

How cool! I'm not sure what they should add since they have all the chinese foods I like to eat. Oh wait! They should have egg rolls! How can you not have egg rolls? :)

I'm with you...those frozen meal "servings" are always smaller than I could ever get full off of. Appetizers, really. Good thing Stuart came through for you with the chow mein!

Orange chicken. Yum.

Do they have cashew chicken?? Or shrimp would be yummy too. And oh my heck... I made that same one a while ago before Tanner got home and it was GONE by the time made it. Sorry husband. Tasted good, what can I say.

My 9-year-old son and I have actually had the sweet and sour chicken and we LOVE IT!

I must say though, like you said, it was just barely enough for the 2 of us! Guess we're big eaters!

Thanks for the entry!

Cashew chicken sounds tasty. I would love it if they had the full pu-pu platter in a bag.
